The Gulf Coast of Florida is knows for its smooth, gradual decline in depths and gorgeous sandbar formations that reach from the upper peninsula of Florida down to the Florida Keys. The landscape has been totally changed since Hurricane Irma blew through as huge amounts of sediments have poured off the land and into our waters.
Regardless of these events, you know the Gulfcoast is also known for calm waters and smooth horizons typically. During storms and windy conditions, we do get some awesome waves and locals and bodyboarding and surfing enthusiasts take every opportunity to hit the waters when the waves are present! Here is a great infographic from our friends at finbin.net which provides great information on the differences of bodysurfing and surfing. Finbin.net is also a very informative center for reviews on surfboards, bodyboards as well as Stand-up Paddleboards (SUP)
