Sarasota’s Pineapple Drop-Downtown Sarasota Main Street and Lemon Ave When: 2pm- 1:30am Celebrate NYE in downtown Sarasota with all the traditional offerings including a family carnival and midway. Main St. opens at 6pm with live music starting at 9pm. There will be special deals at the restaurants and beer stations on the streets. The Pineapple will drop at midnight at Main St and Lemon Ave. The annual celebration attracts about 20,000.

New Year’s Eve at Selby Gardens-The splendor of Selby Gardens peaks during the holidays when thousands of twinkling lights cast sparkles on rare flowers in bloom. This black-tie event includes an elegant dinner prepared by Michael’s on the Bay, intimate look at the dazzling holiday lights display, fireworks and dancing. Tickets are $250 per person.
